Self-employment appears to be an attractive solution for young people struggling with a saturated job market. Eva Sabater's journey, now former director of Travel Work, towards self-employment has been very different. At the age of 23, while studying Economics, she founded Travel Work, a company that offers work experience to students through internships in European Union (EU) countries. The idea arose from her own need to secure a marketing internship in London «to improve her CV and language skills.» She found that, outside of official scholarships, there were no companies offering them, and she travelled to England with the aim of finding collaborators to carry out her project. Three years later, Travel Work offers internships in various fields – finance, law, engineering, tourism, and IT – and at multinational companies such as British Telecom, Ford, and Coca-Cola.
