At first I didn't really know what I would find, but once the experience was over, I had a very positive assessment!
As for my family, I am very happy because they have helped me a lot to improve my level of English at all times and we have had a very good relationship with them to the point that I think it will be a lifelong friendship. The family gave me a lot of freedom and at no time did they put any limits on me and I felt as if I were another member of the family.
As for work, I was working in Torquay. The work environment is very pleasant and I have had a very good relationship with all the people I have worked with. My job consisted of helping the director at reception with IT, telephone support, etc., and on Fridays I was helping the event planner with weddings and different events that took place every weekend. Working there has allowed me to grow professionally and personally through the human values that the volunteers and the people who work with people with special needs have.
Finally, I would like to point out that I have met some great people of different nationalities (German, Italian and French) with whom I have had many good times! I would also like to thank the local coordinators who checked in every Tuesday and Thursday to make sure everything was okay!
