The selfemployment appears as
an attractive solution for the young men who fight against the
saturation of
the labour market.... Eva
Sabater's way towards the route of the selfemployment has been
very different. At the age of 23, while she was studying Economics,
she created Travel Work, a company that offers labour experience
to the students across practices in countries of the European Union
(EU). The idea arose for her need to obtain a few practices of
marketing in London " to improve curriculum and language ".
She found that out of the official scholarships, there were no
companies that were offering them, and she travelled to England
with the aim to find collaborators to take to end his her project.
Three years later, Travel Work offers work experience in different
areas - finance, law, engineering, tourism or computer science
and in multinationals like British Telecom, Ford or Coca Cola.

For many younth, the stay in some European
country is an excellent opportunity to improve the level of a
foreign language. Nevertheless,
companies like TRAVEL WORK make possible besides to realize a few
professional practices of the speciality that is wished. Eva Sabater,
manager of TRAVEL WORK, explains to us the requirements that are
needed to obtain a work under the rule of paid work experience
in Europe. From TRAVEL WORK facilitates the possibility of carrying
out professional practices that go from one month up to even one
year. The interested person can be employed at the sector that
he wishes providing that he has as minimum of a few English knowledges
equivalent to a First level Certificate. This person depending
on his knowledges, and even from the first course of career, can
accede to WORK EXPERIENCE’s program, which allows to exercise
a practice related to his studies. Also there is the second program
that is called “SEASONAL PAID " It is a stay, normally
in summer, where that it is possible to be employed at jobs related
with tourism or hotel and catering business, and with good economic
conditions, normally there is paid to them the accomodation, the
food and a salary. (...) It is necessary to bear in mind that the
labour experience comes supported by a certificate that grants
the UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE (...)
When youth carry the initiative

The responsibility of creating companies is not exclusive of men
and women experienced in the business. The youngsters also have
good ideas for set up profitable companies. Because of that, the
association AIESEC wants to promote the entrepreneurial initiative
of the university students, and has organized several activities
for orientating the entrepreneurial youngsters.
(...) Eva Sabater, in spite of her youth-25 years-, is already
an owner of a company, but the most important is that it is her
company. Travel Work was born fruit of an initiative, of a good
idea that Eva threw ahead almost three years ago. From then, this
company, provides to the youngsters, students and not students,
work experiences in several countries of Europe-it is having very
good acceptance. All what she has managed to be is the result of
the effort of the Eva, who moved around to achieve to contact companies
abroad.

(...) Patricia Ara, had
already been working for two years when she decided she wanted
to go to England and improve her English,
initially for a 6-month period. Through the agency TRAVEL WORK
in Barcelona she was put in contact with a job agency in England
where she was given three interviews. She was offered a place in
a marketing company where, thanks to her languages, she carried
out market research studies, gathering information from multinationals
in Italy and Spain.(...)
Then there is always the chance of being kept on after your work
placement period officially ends. Although she enjoyed her job
immensely, Patricia was tired of not being paid, so she put it
to her boss to be taken on by the company. Not only was she offered
a permanent contract, but a new position was created just for her,
that of research analysis assistant.(...)

(...) The Putting in March: " I requested a subsidy to the
Generalitat for the help to creating companies. I advised myself
in an organization called " Employment and Development ",
also subsidized, that teaches how start a company of legal form.
On having studied economic,I took the accounting and the fiscal
field.
From my point of view, the principal difficulty was to try to open
a market in a country that was not mine; where the culture, customs,
way of work .., they were totally different. It was very difficult
the fact that they saw me very young. Always you face new challenges,
the competition, and they suppose difficulties that you have to
solve.
I have been taking decisions depending on my intuition, though
my friends and family have helped me when I have needed different
points of view (...)
I encourage to all young men and women to set up their own company.
That they do not try to begin overhead (big offices ...) but little
by little. Many patience is needed (and a couple of years to receive
sticks) But it is worthwhile and is not so difficult if a good
idea is had.

Work's principal aim is to achieve that the youth obtain a curriculum vitae more
competitive, that could serve him
in the future. It is directed principally for university students
or persons who have ended the career and facilitates to them a
labour international experience, which helps to improve the level
of other languages, and they realize internships that also can
